An electrifying and soulful tour-de-force, it was originally created for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in 1999. Grace is presented for the first time with live music, performed by Jennifer Holliday and others. The program also includes the premiere of Mercy, a new companion piece with original live music by soul and rock singer-songwriter Meshell Ndegeocello.

An homage to the campy and spine-chilling horror films of the 1940s, Acquanetta combines theater, opera, and film to explore the world of a real-life B-movie star with a mysterious past. A vivid cast of characters reveal their inner longings and emotional shadows in a haunting meditation on identity, transformation, stereotypes, and typecasting, set in the heyday of Hollywood glamour.

Set in an unnamed totalitarian state, The Miracle of Heliane features a complicated, erotic triangle between a ruthless despot, The Ruler; his beautiful and neglected wife, Heliane; and a young, messianic Stranger. The allegorical tale about the destruction of a dictatorship by a woman premiered to great acclaim in Hamburg in 1927, and remains extraordinarily relevant.
